Senior Estimator Job Overview.

This role will lead the estimating discipline at Servco and preparing cost estimates for both new and ongoing construction projects, including assessing construction drawings, determining material needs, and calculating overall project costs. The Senior Estimator will work closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate, detailed cost assessments and proposals.

Below are the critical tasks of the position:

• Prepare detailed budget estimates for construction projects by reviewing plans and specifications.
• Evaluate offers to purchase materials and services, considering site requirements, changes in scope, and cost adjustments.
• Resolve cost discrepancies through bid leveling, research and data analysis.
• Create and present project budgets, reports, and cost plans to upper management.
• Procure new relationships with subcontractors and solicit sub bids.
• Collaborate with owners, architects and other construction professionals to ensure project alignment.
• Schedule and attend meetings and site visits with clients, program managers, and project staff.
• Understand and apply relevant building codes throughout the project.
• Prepare cost estimates for in-house trades and management
• Monitor ongoing construction processes to ensure adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Stay up-to-date with building codes, safety codes and new developments in the construction industry.
• Coaching/developing estimator that will report into this role.

Desired Skillset.

Below is a list of the preferred qualifications and skillsets for this role:

• Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, architecture or related field.
• License/Certification Requirements: Valid Driver’s License
• Years of Experience: 5+
• Preferred Skills: Computer proficient, MS Excel, Word, Project and BlueBeam.
• Strong mathematical abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyze project specifications and drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of current building codes and regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex data.

Compensation Range and Benefits.

$95,000-$120,000 annually. Compensation is offered based on work history, years of experience, professional achievements and other nondiscriminatory metrics and factors. This is a full-time, in-office role.
